Xeomin in Gangnam, Seoul
A highly purified botulinum toxin without complexing proteins — often chosen by regular toxin users who want soft, natural results and a lower risk of developing resistance.
What is Xeomin?
Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA) is a botulinum toxin type A purified to remove the complexing proteins found in some other brands. It relaxes the muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles — frown lines, forehead lines and crow’s feet — and can slim the jaw. Results appear in 3–4 days and typically last 3–5 months. The treatment itself is identical in feel to Botox: a few fine-needle injections in 10–20 minutes.
Because it contains only the active toxin, Xeomin may carry a lower chance of antibody formation, which is why long-term and frequent toxin users often prefer it. Your doctor will explain the trade-offs of each brand before treatment.

Xeomin questions we hear most

Is Xeomin better than Botox?
Neither is universally better. Both relax muscles in the same way and give similar results; Xeomin lacks complexing proteins, which may lower the chance of resistance with long-term use.
How long does Xeomin last?
Usually about 3–5 months, similar to other toxins. Duration depends on dose, muscle strength and metabolism.
What is toxin resistance?
Some people who receive toxin often develop antibodies that make it less effective. Using a purified toxin such as Xeomin and avoiding unnecessarily frequent top-ups may help reduce this risk.
Are there side effects?
Mild redness, small bruises or a headache are common and short-lived. Rarely, temporary eyelid or brow heaviness occurs. It is not used in pregnancy, breastfeeding or certain neuromuscular conditions.
Can Xeomin slim my jaw?
Yes. Injected into the masseter it gradually slims a square lower face over 4–8 weeks. See contouring & sculpting for other options.
