Scar treatments in Gangnam, Seoul
Acne scars, raised keloids, surgical scars and stretch marks each need a different tool. Our physicians match the method to your scar type for a smoother, less visible result.
How are scars treated at a dermatology clinic?
Scars are treated according to type. Depressed (atrophic) scars such as acne scars are lifted with subcision, RF microneedling, fractional laser and TCA CROSS; raised hypertrophic scars and keloids are flattened with steroid injections, laser and silicone; and stretch marks are faded with laser and RF microneedling. Most scars improve substantially over a series of sessions, though complete erasure is rare.
At MIN Clinic, a physician first classifies your scars by type, depth and skin tone, then builds a staged plan that can fit around trips to Seoul.

Scar treatment questions we hear most
Can’t find your answer? Message our English-speaking team on WhatsApp.
Can scars be removed completely?
Most scars cannot be erased completely, but the right combination can make them much flatter, smoother and less noticeable. The improvement from new collagen is long-lasting.
What is the best treatment for acne scars?
It depends on scar type. Rolling scars respond to subcision and RF microneedling, boxcar scars to laser and RF, and ice pick scars to TCA CROSS or punch excision. See acne scar removal.
How are keloids treated?
Keloids are usually treated with steroid injections plus laser, silicone or pressure, with long-term follow-up because they can recur.
How many sessions will my scars need?
Most scar plans need 3–6 sessions spaced 3–6 weeks apart, depending on scar type and depth.
Can I start scar treatment on a short trip to Seoul?
Yes. Many treatments, such as RF microneedling or steroid injections, have little downtime. Your doctor can plan sessions across visits.
