Filler dissolving in Gangnam, Seoul
Hyaluronidase injections that break down unwanted hyaluronic acid filler — to fix lumps, migration, overfilling or asymmetry and reset your face before any re-treatment.
What is filler dissolving?
Filler dissolving is the injection of hyaluronidase, an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid (HA) filler. It is used to correct lumps, migrated or overfilled filler and asymmetry, and in emergencies when filler compromises blood flow. It works only on HA fillers, not on PLLA, PCL or calcium-based products. Most of the effect is seen within 24–72 hours.
Accurate assessment comes first: the doctor identifies where the filler sits and, if possible, which product was used, so only the necessary amount of enzyme is used.

Common reasons to dissolve
Hyaluronidase is used conservatively, aiming to remove the problem filler while respecting natural tissue.
Lumps & nodules
Smooths palpable or visible HA lumps.
Migration
Removes filler that has moved, e.g. above the lip line.
Overfilling
Softens a heavy or puffy look, often under the eyes.
Asymmetry
Rebalances uneven correction before re-treatment.
A good fit if you…
- have HA filler that looks lumpy, heavy or uneven
- have filler that has migrated
- want to start fresh before new filler
- have a bluish (Tyndall) tint under the eyes
Consider alternatives if you…
- have non-HA filler (PLLA, PCL, CaHA) — it cannot be dissolved
- are allergic to hyaluronidase or bee stings (discuss first)
- have active infection at the site
- are pregnant or breastfeeding

Filler dissolving questions we hear most
Can’t find your answer? Message our English-speaking team on WhatsApp.
How long does it take for filler to dissolve?
Most HA filler softens within 24–72 hours. Dense or large deposits sometimes need a second session after about a week.
Can all fillers be dissolved?
No. Only hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvederm and Restylane respond. Sculptra and other biostimulators cannot be dissolved.
Will dissolving harm my natural tissue?
Hyaluronidase also acts on the body’s own hyaluronic acid, but this regenerates naturally. Careful dosing limits temporary hollowing.
When can I get filler again?
Usually after 1–2 weeks, once swelling has settled and the result can be assessed. See our under-eye filler and lip filler results.
Is filler dissolving painful?
There is a brief sting during injection; ice or numbing cream keeps it comfortable. Swelling is common for a day or two.
