Quick answer

What is chin filler?

Chin filler is a non-surgical treatment in which a doctor injects hyaluronic acid (HA) filler into the chin to add projection, length or definition. It balances a short or receding chin with the nose and lips, refines the profile and can make the jawline look sharper, with results visible immediately. Results usually last about 12–18 months, depending on the product and your metabolism.

Because HA filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase, chin filler is a reversible alternative to a chin implant. At MIN Clinic the doctor plans the shape on your profile and front view before injecting, so the result fits your face rather than following a single template.

What chin filler can change

The doctor places filler deep on the bone for structure and adjusts the amount to your proportions.

01

Projection

Brings a receding chin forward for a balanced profile.

02

Length

Lengthens a short chin to refine the lower third of the face.

03

Chin tip shape

Creates a softer, slimmer or more defined point.

04

Jaw transition

Smooths the line from chin to jaw for a cleaner contour.

A good fit if you…

  • have a short, small or receding chin
  • want a more balanced side profile
  • prefer a reversible option to a chin implant
  • want a quick treatment during a short stay in Seoul

Consider alternatives if you…

  • need a large bony change — a surgical consult may suit better
  • have a full lower face from muscle — see contouring injections
  • have infection or active acne at the chin
  • are pregnant or breastfeeding

FAQ

Chin filler questions we hear most

Can’t find your answer? Message our English-speaking team on WhatsApp.

How long does chin filler last?

Chin filler usually lasts about 12–18 months. The chin moves less than the lips, so filler there tends to last longer than in more mobile areas.

Does chin filler hurt?

Most patients feel only pressure and mild stinging. We apply numbing cream and most fillers contain lidocaine, so discomfort is usually brief.

Can chin filler be dissolved?

Yes. Hyaluronic acid filler can be broken down with hyaluronidase if you want to adjust or reverse the result. See filler dissolving injections.

What are the risks of chin filler?

Common effects are swelling, tenderness and bruising. Rare risks include infection, lumps and vascular occlusion, which is why injections should be done by an experienced physician who knows facial anatomy.

Can I fly home after chin filler?

Most patients can fly within a day or two. Ideally book the treatment early in your stay so the doctor can review the result before you leave.
